Secure Parking & Storage FAQs
Below are the most commonly questions we receive.
Once you have found a site/sites you are interested in, we recommend that you carry out an external viewing of the property to aid your decision. Please note that some sites have security gates and access may therefore be restricted. Unfortunately, internal viewings of the garages are not possible; however each garage is checked and confirmed as suitable for rental by our experienced maintenance team.
Most are the standard size which is approximately 16ft x 8ft (4.9m x 2.4m) however, some sites may vary.
The first payment is taken manually over the phone, and all remaining monthly payments are taken via direct debit on the 1st working day of each month.
If wish to pay an alternative method, please email: finance@secureparkingandstorage.co.uk
If used for storage, we always suggest that, like with storage of any item, it should be placed off the ground and on pallets, and not stacked hard against the walls to allow ventilation; items should be sheeted with polythene.
We require 1 months’ notice in writing, the email address is: info@secureparkingandstorage.co.uk
If notice is given after the 1st of the month, the notice will automatically be rolled until the last day of the following month. The tenant will be liable for all rent to be paid until the last tenancy date.
Secure Parking and Storage / Housing Association aren’t liable for the items inside the garage. All tenants must cover their own goods inside the garage.
Tenant’s can swap garages, if we have a garage available however there is an admin fee of £45.00 for any garage swap. This will only be waivered if our site operative has confirmed there is a maintenance problem with the current garage.
Each garage is fitted with a combination padlock. You will be provided with the combination number over the telephone once the paperwork has been completed and full payment is received. The paperwork will be emailed to you to review and sign so the process can be completed within a matter of minutes. If your chosen site has a security gate which requires a key, the key will be posted to you by first class mail.
All tenancies are taken with a minimum term of 3 months.
We operate our own in-house maintenance division to satisfy any queries that you may have. However, you would be responsible for ensuring the door workings/locks are kept oiled and that any problems are reported before they deteriorate.
